Flag Rugby Wins at Philly 7s
Yes there were teams from all over the country - men and women - but it was the flag rugby teams from Narberth, PA, Blackthorn and Coventry that made the day at the Philly 7s on Saturday.
Philadelphia 7s Flag Scores Big
On the hottest day of the summer so far, teams from Kindergarten to 6th Grade competed against each other for the chance to win the day and score a nice cool water ice from Rita's of Exton. Rita's came fully stocked much tot he joy of the little tikes. The event was also coolly sponsored by Dunkin' Donuts. Dunkin' was kind enough to sponsor the custom designed rugby ball smartly produced in sizes for kids as well as adults.
Philadelphia Sevens
This year's tournament featured all divisions from Premier Men and Women to Flag, and took place on Saturday, June 29th at the Greater Chester Valley Sports Complex in Malvern, Pennsylvania. The Men's Premier winner was home town's Schuylkill River. The Exiles were awarded an automatic slot at the USA Rugby National 7s later this summer.
